Latest News
During 2003 the group contributed 601 hours to the work of the Trust, which is excellent, considering that we lost three of our planned tasks. Thank you to all who helped us achieve so much. Nine people earned volunteer cards - especial thanks to you!
We have continued to have successful and well-attended joint tasks with Reading NTV, including 18 volunteers (and six huge bonfires!) on the first task of 2004 (even though it was on 4 January)! We are continuing to include joint tasks in our programmes, including a weekend away in Exmoor in the current one. I hope that some of you will want to go! We were also joined for the first time by volunteers from both the Maidenhead and the High Wycombe Rotaract groups on several tasks in 2003.
We are continuing to work at all our usual properties, and another task is also planned at our new property - Runnymede. I hope that you will find the range of tasks on offer interesting.
On the social front, we are suggesting a trip to Kew to see the crocuses and orchids, and, of course, our annual trip to Hall Barn. This year it's The Merry Wives of Windsor.. We hope that you will want to participate in some or all of these events!
The committee is always happy to receive comments or suggestions about the group and its activities, whether task-related or social. If you have ideas for publicity for our group, we'd also be happy to hear them. Please feel free to talk to any of us. And if you'd like to help with the running of the group, either as a committee member, or as a task leader, we'd be glad to hear from you.
